University Overview

Its origins date back to 1881 with the founding of University College Nottingham. It received its Royal Charter as the University of Nottingham in 1948. It was a pioneer in the UK university internationalisation movement, opening the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China in 2004 (the first Sino-foreign university) and the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus in 2005.
