University Overview

Its origins date back to 1902 with the founding of the Falmouth School of Art. It evolved through various forms, including the Falmouth College of Arts, and gained the power to award its own degrees in 2005. A pivotal moment was its merger with the Dartington College of Arts in 2008, significantly expanding its performance arts portfolio. It was granted full university status in 2012, becoming Falmouth University, and later merged with University College Falmouth in 2013 to consolidate its position as a leading creative specialist institution.
