Coventry University

Its origins date back to 1843 with the founding of the Coventry College of Design. It evolved through mergers and name changes, most notably becoming Coventry Polytechnic in 1987. It was granted university status in 1992 under the UK's Further and Higher Education Act, initially as Coventry University. A key development was the establishment of its large, modern city centre campus in the 1990s and 2000s. In 2017, it launched the Coventry University Group, which includes institutions like the Coventry University College and Arden University, reflecting its expansion as a major educational provider.
