Long Island University Brooklyn (LIU Brooklyn) is a private university and the original campus of the Long Island University system, located in Downtown Brooklyn, New York . Founded in 1926, the campus spans 11 acres at the intersection of Flatbush and DeKalb Avenues . LIU Brooklyn enrolls over 11,000 students and offers more than 100 academic programs across its schools, including the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (the oldest school on campus, founded in 1891), the Harriet Rothkopf Heilbrunn School of Nursing, the School of Business, Public Administration and Information Sciences, and LIU Global .
