City University of Seattle

City University of Seattle was founded in 1973 by Michael A. Pastore, who envisioned an institution focused on serving working adults. The university began with evening classes designed for professionals seeking to advance their careers while maintaining full-time employment. In 1982, the university established its first international programs in Canada, beginning a tradition of global education. The 1990s saw significant expansion with new campuses and partnerships across the United States and internationally. In 2008, the university restructured its operations, focusing on its home campus in Seattle and international partnerships. CityU received regional accreditation from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and has maintained that accreditation continuously. The university has graduated thousands of students, many of whom have become leaders in business, education, and public service.
