University Overview

Columbia College was established in 1936 and has served international and Canadian students for over seven decades. The college's mission is to prepare students for admission to a university by providing quality academic programs in a supportive environment. For over 70 years, students have used Columbia's University Transfer/Associate Degree Program and University Foundations Program as a platform for academic success, with thousands of students transferring and completing degrees at the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, and other top universities. Columbia's relatively small size and friendly, family atmosphere means that students from overseas are given the opportunity to adjust to a Canadian lifestyle under minimal pressure, and can then move on to a major university with a much greater chance of success.
