Academy of Learning Career College was first established in 1987 as a franchise system with a focus on providing business and computer skills training to adult learners. The college developed the Integrated LearningTM System ("ILSTM"), an exclusively Canadian method of learning that offers a comprehensive learning experience employing multisensory learning styles including student workbooks, media presentations, and practical exercises. An experienced Campus Facilitator who works on-site supports these learning preferences. Only Academy of Learning College locations are authorized to use ILS. The college recently expanded its Integrated LearningTM System with "e-learning" technology, creating the comprehensive Academy Online system that contains course materials, simulated laboratories, exercises, quizzes, and pre and post-tests combined with online presentations, tutorials, and media. Students are assisted by certified online instructors or campus facilitators when using this delivery method.
